6:30 p.m. — Choco Mucho vs Creamline

Hardcore volleyball fans converge Tuesday when sister clubs Creamline and Choco Mucho set aside their ties in the hot pursuit of a win in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference (AFC).

The much-anticipated clash unfolds at 6:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, where their previous title showdown drew over 23,000 fans last May.

That match saw the Cool Smashers rally to bag their third consecutive AFC title and eighth overall in a pulsating five-setter.

Before the marquee matchup, PLDT will meet Chery Tiggo at 4 p.m. in a clash equally oozing with intensity.

The High Speed Hitters come in with a three-game winning streak, but the Crossovers, fresh off a dominant win over Nxled, are eager to halt their momentum.

With players like Savi Davison, Dell Palomata and Mika Reyes bolstering PLDT, and Chery Tiggo relying on stalwarts such as Aby Maraño, Ara Galang and Cess Robles, both teams promise a gripping battle.

However, all eyes will turn to the rivalry between Creamline and Choco Mucho.

The Cool Smashers have had a strong start, sweeping their first two matches, while the Flying Titans have had mixed results, splitting their first four games.

Despite their contrasting starts, past records hold little sway when these two teams meet.

Creamline, led by the returning Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza and Alyssa Valdez, is looking to continue its unbeaten run.

With former Most Valuable Player (MVP) Carlos easing back into form and a deep bench featuring players like Pau Soriano and Rose Vargas, the Cool Smashers remain the team to beat in this six-month long tournament following a record Grand Slam feat.

Choco Mucho, on the other hand, will lean heavily on Sisi Rondina, Kat Tolentino and Isa Molde to bounce back after a tough loss to Cignal.

But this early, the fans will be the virtual winners as they brace for a night of electrifying volleyball, intense rallies and a spectacle worthy of the league’s marquee rivalry.
