Creamline continued its dominant start to the Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference, sweeping Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City, 25-18, 25-16, 25-6, on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 11-time champion Cool Smashers improved to 2-0 with Jaja Santiago-Minowa once again making her presence felt as they remained the only unbeaten team in the six-team field.

Santiago-Minowa led Creamline with 12 points on nine attacks and three blocks, while Jema Galanza also had 12 points, 10 digs and six excellent receptions. Tots Carlos chipped in 12 points, while team captain Alyssa Valdez added nine points and 10 digs.

Creamline blew the match wide open in the third set, racing to a 10-0 lead and stretching its advantage to 18-1 after Valdez’s kill block. The Cool Smashers needed only 12 minutes to finish off the Vietnamese side.

Creamline also dominated Ho Chi Minh City in attacks, 49-19, and blocks, 11-4.

Ho Chi Minh City remained winless in two games. Dang Thi Kim Thanh led the Vietnamese with eight points, while Le Thi My Xuyen added six.
