Young hitter Ishie Lalongisip has seamlessly integrated into and adapted to Creamline’s system just months into her transfer.
The opposite spiker gave a glimpse of what she could bring to the table for the Cool Smashers with a resounding debut in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour Showdown.
Given the opportunity by head coach Sherwin Meneses, the former Cignal young gun seized the moment and delivered the goods in Creamline’s 25-18, 25-23, 16-25, 25-19, victory over Nxled to open its preseason campaign on Wednesday at the Capital Arena in Ilagan City, Isabela.
Lalongisip scored nine points — all from kills — in just three sets of action for the 11-time champion club.
The 7th overall pick in the 2024 Draft by the Super Spikers joined the Cool Smashers following Cignal’s leave of absence at the end of the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.
Ironically, Creamline spoiled the Super Spikers’ final attempt at a first-ever franchise title before calling it quits.
“Happy to be back playing. It’s exciting because you can feel the same intensity of a Creamline-Cignal game,” she said.
Lalongisip provided support on offense to back veterans Michele Gumabao and Lorie Bernardo, who scored 18 and 13 markers, respectively, in Creamline’s victory in the match that lasted one hour and 46 minutes.
The Adamson University product looks forward to learning more from the league’s most successful team.
“Now I’m playing alongside Ate Jema (Galanza) and other veteran teammates. I’m super excited and looking forward to all the learning I’ll get in Creamline,” she said.
