CIO Tagum adopts new media strategies

Tagum City has launched its newest media dissemination strategy for its quad-media platforms.
The City Information Office-Team started the year by introducing new shows produced by the office itself. Tagum had first aired its shows on Skycable, but later opted to use another platform after the company underwent digitization.
Recognizing the role of social media, the office switched its TV platform to online dissemination. The first among the new shows is the city’s main source of developmental news, Tagum News Central, with a news line-up twice a month.
The show’s segments include the main news, a one-one-one interview and two features presenting the achievements of Tagumenyos and the LGU programs.
The second is the talk show Talk Tagum, which helps spread awareness on government programs for the different sectors and how they affect the lives of Tagumenyos. A fruitful discussion allows people to learn more about these innovations straight from the focal persons themselves.
Another show is called Inform Tagum, which is a short interview of professionals answering inquiries from Tagumenyos. The people can send questions to the LGU and the producer identifies the right person to answer the question.
A fun show, Isip Tagumenyo tickles the brains of Tagumenyos in answering random questions from the producer.
Tagumpay Extra is the newest show featuring random interviews of celebrities and influential people who visit the City of Palms.
The city has also partnered with the City Tourism Office in producing Tagumpay Sessions, which affirms the tagline of Tagum as the “Music Capital of the South.” The city invites local performers to share their love for music.
On the radio platform, the office rebranded its show into Tagumpay Radio, including changes in the new logo, an opening billboard and new advertisements. The radio show runs for one hour in three different local radio stations; Charm Radio, 109.3 MHzFM at 6 to 7 a.m.; Gold FM, 98.3 MHzFM at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Radyo Ukay, 88.7 MHzFM at 4 to 5 p.m.
