Social media personality Xian Gaza has publicly appealed to Alden Richards to help shoulder the reported P3 million hospital bill left behind by the late comedian Ate Gay.

In a Facebook post, Gaza called on the Kapuso star to extend financial assistance to Ate Gay’s family, saying Richards has the means and the compassion to do so.

“May his soul rest in peace. Nananawagan po kami kay Mr. Alden Richards na bayaran ‘yung P3 million na hospital bill ni Ate Gay kasi hindi malaman ng kanyang pamilya kung saan kukuha ng pambayad (May his soul rest in peace. We are appealing to Mr. Alden Richards to cover Ate Gay’s hospital bill, which amounts to P3 million, as his family does not know where to find the funds to pay for it),” Gaza wrote.

He added, “Alang-alang sa pinagsamahan. Alam ko na mayaman at may mabuting puso si Alden (For the sake of the bond you share. I know that Alden is wealthy and has a good heart).”

Gaza’s appeal comes weeks after he made allegations against Richards involving a condominium unit and several luxury watches allegedly borrowed from a wealthy Chinese couple. Richards did not respond to those claims, while several personalities came to his defense.

As of writing, Richards has not publicly addressed Gaza’s latest appeal regarding Ate Gay’s reported hospital expenses.

Papa Jackson praises Coco Martin’s directing

Radio personality John “Papa Jackson” Gemperle has nothing but praise for Coco Martin after making a guest appearance in the action-drama series Sigabo.

Papa Jackson portrayed Papa Love, a radio host admired by Martin’s character, Gabo. In one scene, Gabo unexpectedly picks up Papa Love as a taxi passenger and seeks advice about his marital problems before being invited to continue their conversation at the radio booth.

The radio DJ revealed that his appearance in the series was made possible after he personally asked Martin for a guest role during a previous event.

“Hinihiling ko sa kanya ’to nang magkita kami sa isang event. Hindi ko inaasahan na maaalala ni Direk Coco ’yong pangako niya dati (I asked him for this when we met at an event. I didn’t expect Direk Coco to remember the promise he made back then),” Papa Jackson said.

He originally hoped to appear in Martin’s previous hit series, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, but eventually got the opportunity through Sigabo.

Describing his first day on set, Papa Jackson admitted he was both excited and nervous, especially since his opening scene was with Martin himself.

“Grabe, unang salang ko nakaeksena ko si Direk Coco. Grabe ’yong spontaneity ng utak. ‘Yong script nabalewala. Ang lupit! Hinahayaan ka niya na i-develop ang thought mo. Inaalalayan ka niya do’n sa eksena (Wow — in my very first scene, I got to act alongside Direk Coco. His mind is incredibly spontaneous! The script practically became secondary. It’s amazing! He lets you develop your own ideas and guides you through the scene),” he shared.

Papa Jackson said the experience was a dream come true and expressed hope that it would not be his last appearance in the series.

Sigabo airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on ALLTV2, Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and streams on iWant.
