Flooding affected several major thoroughfares across Metro Manila on Thursday afternoon, with water levels reaching up to 10 inches in Mandaluyong City, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

As of 4:34 p.m., the MMDA recorded 10-inch, half-knee-deep floodwaters along Boni Avenue at the corner of F. Ortigas Street in Mandaluyong. Officials confirmed the road remained passable to all types of vehicles.

In Manila, gutter-deep flooding of approximately 8 inches affected Quirino Avenue near Guazon Street, while an 8-inch flood was also reported along a section of Gov. Pascual Avenue in Sitio 6, Malabon City. Traffic remained passable through both corridors.

Meanwhile, floodwaters receded in three previously affected areas of Quezon City.

The MMDA reported that flooding along the westbound lane of East Avenue corner EDSA cleared by 3:20 p.m., while water along the southbound and westbound lanes of Aurora Boulevard at Araneta Avenue subsided by 3:29 p.m.

Traffic authorities advised motorists to monitor real-time flood updates, noting that road conditions could change depending on weather patterns.
