GMA News is adding a new program to its weekday lineup as it introduces Usap-usapan: What We Know So Far, a 30-minute news and information show that puts trending stories and online claims under the microscope.
Beginning 14 September, the program will air Mondays through Fridays at 6 p.m. on GTV, leading into 24 Oras.
The new show is anchored on verification journalism, with GMA News’ TEAM TOTOO taking on viral posts, circulating rumors, breaking developments, and other claims that are gaining attention among the public. The journalists will examine available information and determine what has been confirmed, debunked, or remains uncertain as events continue to unfold.
Designed for audiences who increasingly get news through digital platforms and social media, Usap-usapan: What We Know So Far will present stories in a concise and conversational format while maintaining GMA News’ emphasis on accuracy and credibility.
Its various segments will tackle different types of stories, giving viewers a clearer picture of what is known and what still needs to be verified.
The program’s approach can be summed up by its guiding principle: “We called, we checked, here’s the answer.”
Behind the reports is Team Totoo, GMA News’ group of experienced journalists who will investigate claims, consult sources, and verify information before presenting their findings to viewers.
Through the new program, GMA News aims to help audiences navigate the fast-moving news cycle and distinguish established facts from information that may be misleading, incomplete, or still developing.
Usap-usapan: What We Know So Far premieres 14 September and airs Mondays to Fridays at 6 p.m. on GTV, ahead of 24 Oras.
