Maya has completed its transition to 100 percent recycled plastic for all newly produced wallet cards, ahead of its year-end target. The move makes more responsible materials the standard across its wallet card portfolio.
The company began rolling out Maya wallet cards made from recycled polyvinyl chloride (rPVC) in June 2026. With the transition fully implemented, all newly produced Maya wallet cards — whether Mastercard or Visa — are now made from 100 percent recycled plastic while maintaining the security, durability and functionality customers expect.
Each card carries a “Made from 100 percent Recycled Plastic” mark on the back, making the change visible to customers.
