Esnyr Ranollo and Bianca de Vera are taking their “twin” bond from the Pinoy Big Brother house to the small screen — this time, as siblings.

The former PBB housemates, who have fondly called each other “twins” since their reality-show days, are set to star as half-siblings Ramon and Emily in ABS-CBN Studios and iWant’s upcoming vertical microdrama, Half Sisters.

Brent Manalo is also part of the cast, although his character remains under wraps for now.

A newly released look test offers a first peek at the series, showing Esnyr’s Ramon alongside Brent. While the details surrounding their characters are still being kept secret, the footage hints at the comedic situations and unexpected turns in store.

The casting adds an extra layer of fun for fans who have followed Esnyr and Bianca’s friendship since PBB. After years of referring to each other as twins, the two are now officially playing family on screen.

A first for Star Creatives

Half Sisters also marks Star Creatives’ first entry into the vertical microdrama format, a short-form storytelling style designed primarily for mobile viewing.

The production follows the success of The Loyalty Game and The Secrets of Hotel 88, bringing the studio into a format that has been gaining traction among audiences who consume entertainment through their phones.

Directed by Julius Alfonso, the new series promises a lighthearted story told through the quick, mobile-friendly episodes characteristic of vertical dramas.

Half Sisters premieres on iWant this September.
