Bianca de Vera is setting the record straight on the “spoiled brat” label, while Esnyr is opening up about choosing himself after heartbreak. The two Star Magic artists got real about life beyond the cameras during the Star Magic Spotlight Press Conference.

The longtime friends talked about how being in the spotlight can sometimes mean people only see one side of you. Beyond their latest and upcoming projects, Bianca and Esnyr shared how friendship, personal growth and everything they’ve experienced along the way have shaped who they are both on and off screen.

One of the most honest moments came when Bianca addressed the misconception that she grew up privileged and relies on her parents.

“I feel like it’s a misconception because only child ako (I’m an only child),” Bianca said. “I pay for all of my bills–gas, food, groceries, lahat-lahat ng bills (all of the bills). Although kaya nila (my parents can afford to), but they don’t do it because gusto nila lumaki ako ng independent (they want me to grow up independent).”

For Bianca, being financially independent is more than just paying her own bills — it’s also about learning responsibility and growing into her own person. She hopes people can look past the assumptions and actually get to know her before judging her.

Meanwhile, Bianca and her on-screen partner Dustin Yu recently held their first major concert/fan-con titled Love, Actually last 8 August at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
