A woman was killed while her husband was injured after unidentified armed men ambushed them while delivering coconut seedlings along the border of Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, and Pikit, Cotabato, on 21 August 2026.

Witnesses said Kidapawan City residents Orlan Turga Saguta-on and his wife, Colie Mar Fuscado Saguta-on, were aboard their multicab when unidentified armed men riding tandem opened fire on them.

The suspects immediately fled the crime scene, while the victims were rushed to the hospital. The wife was declared dead, while the husband is currently in critical condition.

The Pagalungan Municipal Police Station is currently conducting an investigation to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the crime.
