CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A farmer and his wife were shot dead after two armed men ambushed them while they were on their way home from feeding their livestock in Sitio Bucahanon, Barangay Cabadiangan, Kadingilan, Bukidnon, Saturday morning.

The Kadingilan Municipal Police Station identified the victims as Titing and Leni, both residents of the barangay.

Police Major Guy Pacamo, officer-in-charge of the Kadingilan MPS, said the victims were riding together when two suspects, armed with .45-caliber pistols, opened fire.

The victims fell by the roadside after being shot. The suspects then approached them and fired several more shots, killing them at the scene.

The suspects fled on a motorcycle toward Carmen, North Cotabato.

The shooting occurred as Kadingilan was celebrating its 55th founding anniversary. Police, however, said the incident appeared to be isolated and that the motive was believed to be a personal grudge.

Pacamo said police have launched a pursuit and manhunt operation for the suspects, who have already been identified.
