Lynk & Co joins Geely Motor Philippines

Lynk & Co is being integrated into Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) as a wholly owned subsidiary, which puts the premium vehicle brand under Geely’s direct local operation after more than two years with United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI).
The change is part of the Chinese automaker’s “One Geely” strategy. GMP will take charge of the brand’s Philippine operations and use its existing resources to support Lynk & Co’s sales, product plans and aftersales services.
Lynk & Co entered the country in March 2024 under UAAGI Auto Group. The distributor introduced the brand and opened its initial dealerships as it sought a place in the local premium vehicle market.
Ye Qin, general manager of the ASEAN right-hand-drive business unit of Geely Auto International Corp., thanked UAAGI for its work during the brand’s first two years in the country. He said Geely plans to invest further in the Philippine market, add more vehicles and develop its sales and service coverage.
Aftersales support will be one of the first operations transferred to GMP. The company has set 1 September 2026 as the target date for the handover.
From that date, GMP will oversee the supply of genuine parts and honor all existing Lynk & Co vehicle warranties through the Geely dealership network.
Owners may still contact UAAGI during the transition, and their inquiries will be passed to the GMP aftersales team. UAAGI may also assist when needed to prevent interruptions during the handover.
The companies have yet to provide details on the future of the current Lynk & Co dealership network. However, GMP said the integration would give the brand access to Geely’s established local operations as it develops its sales and service facilities.
A local brand refresh will follow in the fourth quarter of 2026. Lynk & Co also plans to introduce a new generation of premium vehicles under GMP, led by the Lynk & Co 900.
The 900 is a full-size plug-in hybrid electric SUV that will sit at the top of the brand’s range. It is positioned as a premium family vehicle with a spacious cabin, advanced safety equipment and connected features. Philippine specifications and prices have not been announced.
Lynk & Co was established in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2016 and operates under Geely Auto Group. GMP formally began its local operations in February 2025 as a Philippine subsidiary of Geely Holding Group.
The addition of Lynk & Co gives the company another brand to handle as it prepares to add more electrified models to its local lineup.
