Kubota digs into construction

Kubota Philippines has entered the local construction equipment market with the launch of its U30-6S and U55-6S mini excavators, extending its business beyond agricultural machinery.
The company unveiled the two models at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang. Both are intended for construction and infrastructure projects, particularly those with limited working space.
Three versions are available: the U30-6S canopy, U55-6S canopy and U55-6S cabin.
The machines feature hydraulic systems designed for smooth operation and Auto Idle technology to help reduce fuel consumption. They also have Roll-Over Protective Structure and Falling Object Protective Structure for operator safety.

KUBOTA U55-6S cabin model joins the company’s new construction equipment lineup in the Philippines.
Kubota has included maintenance-friendly features to help equipment owners reduce downtime.
The company’s entry into construction equipment follows more than six decades of operations in the Philippines, where it has supplied agricultural machinery since 1965. Its agricultural dealer network now has more than 100 locations nationwide.
Yoshito Kato, president and general manager of Kubota Philippines, said agriculture would continue to be the foundation of the company’s business.

COMPACT U30-6S mini excavator features a canopy design and adjustable digging positions for work in confined construction sites.
Through construction equipment, Kubota intends to serve contractors and businesses involved in infrastructure development and community projects.
Fritz Carlo Arota, vice president for sales and marketing, said dependable after-sales service would be an important part of the new business.
“Our experience in agriculture has taught us that customers need more than reliable machines. They need dealers who understand their businesses and dependable support throughout the life of their equipment,” Arota said.
Kubota will work with authorized construction equipment dealers to strengthen technical support, spare parts availability and maintenance services.
