BDO is strengthening its push for cashless payments by eliminating transaction fees across its BDO Pay platform, allowing users to transfer funds, pay bills and make QR-based payments without additional charges.
The digital payment app enables customers to send money for free to BDO accounts, other banks and e-wallets through InstaPay and PesoNet. Users can also settle bills with more than 2,200 accredited billers, purchase prepaid mobile load and complete QR transactions without paying service fees.
More accessible
BDO said the move is aimed at making digital payments more accessible by removing costs that often discourage consumers from using electronic financial services for everyday transactions.
The app also allows users to pay directly from linked BDO deposit accounts or credit cards, eliminating the need to cash in funds before making purchases or transfers.
Beyond payments, BDO Pay integrates rewards and promotional offers into a single platform, allowing customers to monitor reward points, redeem benefits and access discounts and cashback promotions.
More customers into the platform
The bank is also encouraging existing users to bring more customers onto the platform through a referral campaign running from 1 July to 30 September 2026.
