Everyday purchases are increasingly turning into opportunities for rewards and discounts as digital payment platforms expand their promotions, allowing consumers to stretch their budgets further through cashback, deals, and loyalty points.

The payment app BDO Pay is rolling out a series of limited-time offers aimed at encouraging users to maximize savings while using cashless transactions for dining, shopping and bill payments.

Dining discount

Among the key promotions is a dining discount of up to 35 percent at SM Aura, where users can enjoy reduced prices at select restaurants until 26 July (Thursday to Sunday), with an additional 5 percent discount when paying via Scan to Pay.

Shoppers can also avail of free treats at Classic Savory, including complimentary crunchy beef strips for a minimum spend of P2,000 and a free dessert when using Scan to Pay with a BDO Credit Card until 30 November.

The app also incentivizes higher spending through rewards, offering a P100 SM eGift card for every P5,000 spent via Scan to Pay at SM Stores, SM Markets, and selected SM Retail affiliates until 31 August.

Rewards on routine transactions

Beyond shopping and dining, users can earn rewards even on routine transactions, with one Rewards Peso Point awarded for every P100 spent on bills payment or mobile load purchases through the app until 22 August.

BDO Pay said the initiative is part of its effort to make digital payments more rewarding, allowing users to “get more value from every peso you spend” by integrating promotions, loyalty points, and cashless convenience in one platform.
