  • Listed fuel retailer Top Line Business Development Corp. is targeting up to 42,000 liters in daily fuel sales after a partnership with motorcycle ride-hailing platform Angkas, giving the company access to about one-third of Cebu’s regulated motorcycle taxi market.

The company said Tuesday that the agreement, signed through retail subsidiary Light Fuels Corp., covers Angkas partner riders in Cebu, where the Motorcycle Taxi Technical Working Group has capped the market at 9,000 riders across three accredited operators.

Supporting the daily needs of motorcycle riders

“This partnership has the potential to unlock up to 42,000 liters of liquid fuel sales per day, while allowing us to support the daily needs of motorcycle taxi riders who are essential to Cebu’s mobility ecosystem.”

“By giving Angkas partner riders access to fuel savings and value-added services, we are also strengthening Light Fuels’ position as a preferred fuel partner for high-frequency road users,” said Eugene Erik Lim, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Top Line.

Under the partnership, Angkas riders will be enrolled in the Light Rewards Suki Program, which offers a P2.00-per-liter discount on gasoline and a P1.00-per-liter discount on diesel, one free Light Automatic Motorwash every quarter, and eligibility for Light Fuels’ grand raffle promotions.

Top Line said the initiative is expected to increase customer traffic across its retail network by turning Angkas riders into repeat customers.
