According to AboitizPower Assistant Vice President for Corporate Services Lou Jason Deligencia, the said launch was held during a turnover ceremony as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of TLI.
He added that the program aims to support the continued development of the Quezon Huskers as representatives of the province in the basketball competition.
Deligencia said that the program not only aims to push the Quezon Huskers into a more competitive basketball team, but to create a platform for sports promotion, tourism, and meaningful participation of the youngsters in sports development in the whole province.
The program also acknowledges the vital role of sports in shaping discipline, teamwork, leadership, and other important values to the youth.
The initiative also plans to hold community basketball clinic, outreach activities, and youth engagement events wherein young athletes will have a chance to learn and interact with players of the Quezon Huskers.
