Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 after delivering a heartfelt final answer on environmental responsibility during the pageant's coronation night.
Asked how she would honor the responsibility that comes with wearing the crown in the spirit of "Love in Action," Delos Santos drew inspiration from her work as a community tour guide and her advocacy for sustainable tourism.
Rather than focusing on the prestige of the title, she emphasized the importance of serving communities and protecting the environment through meaningful action.
"I'm not just ready for the crown, but I am ready for the environmental and global responsibility that comes with it," she said, adding that she has dedicated herself to showcasing the Philippines as both a model of environmental stewardship and a destination of natural beauty.
Her closing statement became one of the defining moments of the competition.
"Love changes nothing unless it moves, and when it moves, it truly changes everything," she said.
The answer resonated with the judges and audience, securing her the Miss Philippines Earth 2026 crown.
As the country's newest environmental ambassador, Delos Santos will lead initiatives promoting sustainability, conservation, and environmental awareness while preparing to represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth pageant later this year.
