The operation was conducted by elements of the 41st Infantry Battalion following reports from residents about armed men in the area.
Authorities identified the apprehended individuals as Jesfar Ablahan Jarah, Abdel Naser Sumaidi, Ahamad Hamsarani, and Kiram Muntanyo Sahiron. The suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and turned over, along with the recovered firearms and other evidence, to the Talipao Municipal Police Station for documentation, investigation, and filing of appropriate charges.
Authorities said the operation was carried out with attention to civilian safety and in line with established rules of engagement and existing laws.
Lt. Gen. Donald Gumiran, Commander of Western Mindanao Command, said the incident underscores the ongoing need for military and law enforcement collaboration to address the presence of loose firearms in the area.
