CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – A total of 1,654 confiscated open pipes or modified mufflers were ceremonially destroyed by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) at Camp General Alejo S. Santos on Wednesday, 17 February, as part of its intensified campaign against noise pollution and illegal vehicle modifications.
PCOL Angel L. Garcillano, Provincial Director, stated that the destruction symbolizes the strong enforcement of traffic regulations and public safety measures.
"Our municipal and city police stations also did simultaneous destruction activities, working with LGUs. It's truly a unified, province-wide effort against noise and for road safety," Garcillano said, referring to the widespread participation in the campaign.
The activity was supported by Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Chiefs of Police from various cities and municipalities.
Garcillano added that the initiative aligns with PRO3’s 3Ps—Protect the People, Pursue Peace and Order, and Promote Professionalism. It also supports the PNP-Focused Agenda under the leadership of Chief PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., under the banner of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
The Bulacan PPO affirmed its commitment to environmental protection and community welfare through these sustained efforts.
