CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Five individuals were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations across Nueva Ecija from 12 and 14 February, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) announced.
Seized from the suspects were substances worth over ₱54,000 combined.
On 14 February, around 12:40 AM, operatives from the Sto. Domingo Municipal Police Station arrested a 38-year-old resident of Brgy. Maligaya, Science City of Muñoz, in Brgy. Baloc, Sto. Domingo.
The suspect, tagged as a high-value drug personality, was caught selling suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer. Authorities recovered approximately 2.05 grams of the drug, valued at Php13,940 per the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), along with Php500 marked money and the suspect’s vehicle.
Two days earlier, on 12 February, four drug personalities were arrested in separate coordinated buy-busts by operatives from San Isidro MPS, Science City of Muñoz Police Station, Gapan City PS, and Aliaga MPS.
Confiscated items included about 5.90 grams of shabu and 5 grams of marijuana, with a combined DDB value of Php40,720. Also seized were marked buy-bust money, assorted drug paraphernalia, and one replica short firearm.
Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) Director PCOL Heryl “Daguit” L. Bruno lauded operating personnel for their commitment, noting the campaign aligns with directives from PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. and the PNP’s “Bagong PNP Para sa Bagong Pilipinas” agenda.
All arrested individuals face charges under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
