Hundreds of families in Iloilo City have received housing-related assistance under various components of the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling led the awarding of certificates of entitlement to lot allocation to 367 members of the Mirasol Ville Homeowners Association Inc. under the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program of the Social Housing Finance Corporation.
Aliling was joined by SHFC president and chief executive officer Federico Laxa and Iloilo Rep. Jamjam Baronda.
Shelter repair kits donated by the United States Agency for International Development were also distributed to about 300 families affected by a fire in another community in the city.
In a separate activity, Aliling and Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas handed certificates of entitlement to 213 families covered by Presidential Proclamation 1538, ending what officials described as a 27-year wait for land tenure security.
The housing chief and the mayor also launched and inspected the site of a rental housing project in Barangay Sambag, Jaro District.
