Alden Richards heads into 2026 with a slate of major projects, but the 34-year-old star is playing the long game when it comes to matters of the heart.

“Kung darating, darating ( If it will come, it will come). I’m waiting for love to come to me. I have personal experiences as well. I don’t want to put it on the priority list right now because there are so many things happening at the same time,” he said.

Alden’s take really connects — not just with him, but with singles all over the Philippines facing that familiar pressure from family and society to find love while grinding through packed schedules.

He elaborated on professional priorities: “I want to solidify all of that, at least sustain all of that before diving into things like that, which is a different commitment.”

It is evident as Richards kicks off 2026 with a bang with his international action film Big Tiger, starring alongside Hollywood heavyweights while co-producing with top L.A. partners.

The Kapuso star elaborated on professional priorities: “I want to solidify all of that, at least sustain all of that before diving into things like that, which is a different commitment.”

Looking ahead, Alden envisions 2026 as a pivotal year: “I think 2026 will be my year of reckoning.”

Reflecting on maturity, he stated to DAILY TRIBUNE, “I think I’ve already reached a point in my life right now that I’m so done dealing with things that will not be beneficial in my growth.”

His commitment to self-assurance is unwavering: “I think this year, I will make it a point to stand by my decisions, stand by myself, and no matter what, I will be able to defend the decisions I made in the previous years when I entered my 30s.”
