A drug den in the town of Porac was dismantled and four drug suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation at Barangay Sta. Cruz on 7 January.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the operation was conducted in coordination with the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, leading to the dismantling of a makeshift drug den.
PDEA identified the alleged drug den operator as a 59-year-old man known by the alias “Teds,” along with three alleged cohorts identified as “Bill,” 33; “Lex,” 30; and “Isa,” 36.
Authorities recovered four transparent plastic sachets containing approximately six grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of P40,800, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and marked money used in the operation.
The seized illegal drugs were sent for forensic examination at the PDEA Regional Office 3 Laboratory, while Teds and his alleged accomplices were temporarily detained at the PDEA RO3 jail facility.
The operation was also carried out with the participation of the PDEA RO3 Special Enforcement Team and the Porac Police Station.
PDEA said non-bailable charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 6 (maintenance of a den, dive, or resort) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against Teds. Appropriate charges under the same law will also be filed against the other arrested suspects.
