Actor-producer Coco Martin is heading into 2026 with a packed schedule, confirming that two major films are lined up for the year alongside his ongoing commitment to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo—firmly dispelling speculation that the long-running series is nearing its end.
Speaking about his upcoming projects, Coco said production for the much-anticipated On the Job movie will begin soon, marking his collaboration with director Erik Matti.
“This coming March, magstart na po akong magshoot ng OTJ [On the Job movie] kay Direk Erik Matti,” he said in an interview with veteran entertainment reporter Gorgy Rulah.
Coco also revealed another major project under Star Cinema, this time working with director Jerrold Tarog. The Father’s Day-themed film will reunite him with actress Julia Montes.
“Tapos may gagawin din po ako sa Star Cinema, kay Direk Jerrold Tarog naman na Father’s Day [movie], kami naman po ni Julia ang magsasama,” he said.
Despite juggling two film productions, Coco stressed that television remains a constant in his career, confirming that Batang Quiapo will continue airing with no definite end date.
“Bale dalawang pelikula ang gagawin ko ngayong 2026, plus itong Batang Quiapo. Kaya halos punong-puno yung schedule,” he said.
