Two carnappers were arrested by authorities during a follow up operation at Brgy. Cabcaben, Mariveles, Bataan, on 11 December.
According to the Mariveles Municipal Police Station, a complainant discovered that his motorcycle was missing along Ressureccion Street, Brgy. Cabcaben, Mariveles, Bataan.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the barangay hall.
By 5:30 p.m., he sought assistance from the personnel of Mariveles MPS, who quickly conducted a follow-up operation.
After several hours of investigation, at around 10:30 p.m., the responding officers located the missing motorcycle at the residence of a certain “Vil,” who was then with alias “Geo,” at NHA, Sitio Mabuhay, Brgy. Cabcaben, Mariveles, Bataan.
The patrollers immediately arrested the suspects and, during a protective body search, recovered a cal. .45 Series 80 Colt MKIV firearm with serial number 614392, loaded with seven rounds of ammunition and tucked in a suspect’s waist.
The suspects, along with the recovered evidence, are now under the custody of Mariveles MPS for the filing of criminal cases for violations of RA 10591 and motornapping.
