BAGUIO CITY — A 41-year-old man allegedly pimping two girls ages 17 and 16 was arrested on Friday in Bakakeng Norte, Baguio City.
Personnel of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 10 went to the area the suspect was to serve and implement a search warrant issued by the court on the same day. During the police operation, authorities confiscated several pieces of the suspect's equipment, including a router, desktop computer, cellular phones, a camera, a card reader, SD cards, flash drives, and a hard drive.
A case for violation of the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Abuse of Exploitation Materials is being filed against the suspect.The suspect is currently in police custody, while the victims are under the care of the appropriate government agency for necessary interventions.
In addition to the personnel from BCPO Station 10, the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit-Cordillera provided significant assistance in the suspect's apprehension. Barangay officials from Bakakeng Norte also assisted and served as witnesses during the police operation, in line with police Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
