Along with the Ombudsman’s push for greater transparency, the public can now access the Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) of public officials — including the President and Vice President.

Documents obtained by Akbayan Partylist showed that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a shared SALN worth P389.357 million with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos as of 31 December 2024.

When Marcos assumed office in 2022, the first couple declared P329.229 million under their name. Six months later, an additional P42.262 million was reflected, bringing their net worth to P371.492 million by the end of the year, consisting of personal assets and real estate.

Vice President Sara Duterte, meanwhile, declared ₱88.5 million for the same period. Her net worth when she assumed office three years ago was P71,658,841.

For comparison, former President Rodrigo Duterte reported P37,305,462.17 on his SALN before stepping down on 30 June 2022, while former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo declared P15.5 million on the same date.
