Bureau of Corrections Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. presented donations from the agency's officers and employees to Caridad G. Molo, Assistant Department Head 2 of the Social Services Department in Muntinlupa City.

This act of kindness was aimed at assisting the victims of Typhoon Uwan, emphasizing the critical need for compassion and unity during challenging times.

Rather than celebrating the agency's Founding Anniversary with festivities, Catapang chose to dedicate the occasion to introspection, prayer, and a reaffirmation of their commitment as public servants. He highlighted that it is essential for public servants to embody empathy and compassion, especially when the nation faces hardships.

Furthermore, Catapang announced that eligible officials and employees across the country had already received their anniversary bonuses, amounting to P3,000 each.

This bonus is provided under Administrative Order No. 263, established in 1996 by Ruben D. Torres, which allows national government agencies, Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations, and Government Financial Institutions to grant an anniversary bonus.

The Bucor proudly follows this tradition, celebrating its milestone anniversaries while also ensuring that acts of kindness and service remain at the forefront of their mission.
