Three drug pushers yielded P366,724 worth of shabu after they were arrested by operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) in a buy-bust operation Tuesday night.
QCPD Acting Director P/Col. Randy Glenn Silvio identified the suspects as alias “Ferdinand,” 32; alias “Cornelio,” 29, both residents of Brgy. Sauyo, Novaliches; and alias “James,” 35, a resident of Brgy. San Agustin, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Silvio said the three were collared by elements of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) under P/Maj. Elvin Ballesteros during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 9:35 p.m. on November 11, 2025, at Saturnina Compound, Brgy. Sauyo. Police acted on a tip from a concerned citizen regarding the suspects’ illegal drug activities.
A police officer posed as a buyer and purchased P37,500 worth of shabu from the suspects. Upon the pre-arranged signal, operatives immediately arrested them.
Confiscated from the suspects were 53.93 grams of shabu valued at P366,724; a cellular phone; a pouch; a Honda Click 125 motorcycle; and the buy-bust money.
A records check showed that alias “Ferdinand” had previous cases for three counts of violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), while alias “James” had prior cases for violations of R.A. 9165 and P.D. 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling Law).
The arrested suspects, Silvio said, were charged for violation of R.A. 9165 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
“Ang tagumpay ng operasyon na ito ay nagpapatunay na ang QCPD ay hindi tumitigil sa pagsugpo sa illegal na droga. Magtulungan po tayo, Qcitizens at QCPD laban sa krimen,” Silvio said.
