The Province of Bataan held the Agricultural Extension Workers (AEW) Congress 2025 at La Vista Inland Resort in Balanga City on 4 November 2025.
The congress was spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), with support from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV), Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III), and the DA Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center III (DA-ATI-RTC III).
With the theme “Strengthening Agricultural Extension Services Towards a Modern, Inclusive, Innovative and Progressive Agri-Fishery Industry,” the two-day event aims to recognize and honor agricultural extension workers across the province.
The activity centered on expanding knowledge and enhancing services in line with modern agricultural practices. It forms part of the provincial government’s broader effort to further develop Bataan’s agriculture and fisheries sectors.
The Department of Agriculture also presented programs and projects designed to support farmers and fisherfolk, ensuring food security and fostering a more progressive agricultural industry in the province.
Governor Joet Garcia administered the oath-taking of city and municipal agriculturists and officers from Bataan.
“Patuloy po ang buong suporta ng ating Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa mga programang pang-agrikultura katuwang ang DA para sa mas maunlad na sektor ng Agrikultura sa ating Lalawigan,” he said.
