The Aurora Police Provincial Office (APPO) inaugurated its newly established Provincial Tactical Operation Center (PTOC), along with the blessing of the APPO Grotto and a fleet of donated motorcycles and bicycles, on 25 October 2025.
The opening of the PTOC strengthens law enforcement capabilities and spiritual resilience within the APPO.
Police Col. Robert L. Petate, Provincial Director of Aurora PPO, led the inauguration alongside Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr.
Peñones commended Aurora PPO for its proactive efforts in modernizing operational systems while promoting the welfare and morale of its personnel.
The blessing rites were officiated by Police Lt. Col. Jonathan L. Chy, Regional Pastor Officer of PRO3.
The ceremony also featured the consecration of the APPO Grotto — a dedicated area for reflection and prayer — symbolizing faith as a guiding pillar in police service.
The donated motorcycles and bicycles, also blessed during the event, are expected to boost mobility and community policing efforts, enabling personnel to respond faster and reach remote areas more efficiently.
With the establishment of the PTOC, the Aurora PPO aims to enhance command coordination, tactical monitoring, and emergency response operations across the province.
The event underscored APPO’s balanced commitment to modern policing and moral grounding, reinforcing its mission to maintain peace, order, and community trust under the guiding principle of “Service, Integrity, and Faith.”
