SM Foundation has ramped up its Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) program, which aims to enhance farmers’ productivity and connect them to market opportunities.
As of 2024, the foundation has conducted more than 400 training sessions across the country, equipping over 32,000 farmers with modern agricultural skills.
The program’s latest expansion includes a new batch of 100 farmers from Cagayan de Oro, who began training on August 8. According to SM Foundation, the training focuses on market-oriented and modern farming techniques to help participants improve both productivity and income.
In recent weeks, the foundation also marked several program milestones. On August 6, 100 farmers from San Juan, Batangas, completed their training, followed by another 100 farmers from Sariaya and San Andres, Quezon, who graduated on 13 August.
SM Foundation said it plans to roll out the KSK program to more regions before the year ends, as part of its mission to support food security and create livelihood opportunities.
