Despite inclement weather, the foundation distributed Kalinga Packs to about 1,200 affected residents on 6 August 2026 to help families begin recovering from the fire that struck Rosemarie Lane. The relief packs contained ready-to-eat food and bottled water.
The fire broke out on the afternoon of 29 July 2026 and escalated to the third alarm, destroying more than 100 houses in the area. Displaced residents are currently staying in evacuation centers.
SM Foundation mobilized volunteers and employees from SM Center Pasig to distribute the relief goods to affected households.
The assistance forms part of Operation Tulong Express, the disaster response program of SM Foundation, the social good arm of the SM Group, which provides emergency relief to communities affected by calamities and other crises nationwide.
Since its launch, Operation Tulong Express has served as SM Foundation's frontline disaster response initiative, delivering relief assistance to affected communities across the country in partnership with SM Supermalls and SM Markets.
