Residents and visitors in Butuan City can now book four-seater and six-seater car rides through Maxim Rides & Food Delivery, which has introduced new fares for its passenger transport service in the city.
The company has set the base fare at P65 for its Car 4-seater service and P75 for the Car 6-seater option. Both categories use air-conditioned vehicles operated by authorized driver-partners.
Passengers can check the total fare through the Maxim app before confirming a booking. The amount appears once the pickup point and destination have been entered. According to the company, the quoted fare does not change even when traffic conditions worsen during the trip.
The service gives passengers another transport option in Butuan, a major gateway to tourist destinations and other areas in northeastern Mindanao.
Maxim previously offered delivery services in the city. The addition of passenger car bookings allows customers to use the same platform for their daily travel needs.
Reynante Santos, head of Maxim Butuan, said the new rates were introduced to provide residents with more choices based on their travel requirements.
“These new rates give Butuan residents more flexibility in choosing a car service that suits their travel needs. We also aim to create more earning opportunities for local driver-partners while helping meet the city’s transportation needs,” Santos said.
The company is also accepting vehicle owners who wish to register as driver-partners. Commission rates range from 5 to 18 percent, while drivers can choose their own working schedules.
This arrangement allows vehicle owners to use the platform as a regular source of income or accept bookings during their available hours.
Regarding passenger safety, the app provides information about the assigned driver and vehicle before each trip. Customers can also monitor the vehicle’s location and route through the application’s map.
Passengers and drivers can communicate within the app without disclosing their personal phone numbers. An SOS feature allows either party to contact Maxim’s support team during emergencies.
Maxim holds a Transportation Network Vehicle Service license and provides car booking services in several Philippine cities, including Cebu, Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro.
The company began Philippine operations in Cebu in 2020 and has since extended its services to other parts of the country.
With car bookings now available in Butuan, residents can choose between the two vehicle categories according to their passenger requirements and view the fare before confirming their trip.
