After more than a decade together, Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Mommy Dionisia, appears ready to walk down the aisle with her longtime partner, Mike Yamson.

In an interview with broadcast journalist Bernadette Sembrano, the couple was asked point-blank if marriage was in their plans. “Yes! Oo naman,” Mike replied. Mommy D agreed, saying, “May plano naman, e. Mayroon na ring wedding ring.”

According to Mommy Dionisia, Mike has made her a promise that speaks volumes about their commitment. “Patunayan ko sa ’yo, kamatayan lang hiwalayan natin. Sino man ang mauna sa atin, kamatayan lang makapaghihiwalay sa atin,” she recalled him telling her.

She also shared that she prayed for someone like Mike to come into her life. “Sabi ko kay Lord, bigyan niya ako ng mabait, kaya ayan, mabait yan siya,” she said, clearly grateful for their enduring relationship.

The couple has long shrugged off criticism and bashing over their almost-three-decade age gap. For them, what matters most is the genuine love and companionship they share.
