
The total number of Filipinos affected by the recent habagat and tropical cyclones Crising, Dante, and Emong has climbed to 9.720 million, or 2.661 million families, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Sunday.
This marks an increase from last week’s 8.592 million individuals, or 2.365 million families.
Casualties remain at 37, with five confirmed: two from Central Luzon, and one each from the Ilocos Region, Northern Mindanao, and CARAGA.
A total of 32 injuries have been recorded, with 24 confirmed — mostly coming from CAR. Eight others remain under validation. Missing individuals total eight, with two each from CAR and Western Visayas, while four reported cases await validation.
The NDRRMC said 108,375 houses were damaged across multiple regions, with losses estimated at P6.256 million, while agricultural losses reached P3.159 billion, affecting 98,107 farmers.
