The Muntinlupa local government, in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), is conducting ongoing declogging operations across the city amid the rainy season.
A series of declogging efforts had already been carried out in various parts of the city prior to the onset of the rains.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Ruffy Biazon shared that the latest operation was conducted just a few days before the heavy rains on Tuesday night.
“The latest operation was done in different areas just a few days before the strong winds and rain last night,” he said.
Photos released by Biazon from the declogging operation earlier today showed a massive pile of trash collected — including household waste, a car tire, and even a bed.
