ABUCAY, Bataan — In a breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs, the Abucay police led by Major John Rhey A. Cutab conducted two successful buy-bust operations on Saturday, arresting four suspects and seizing nearly P581,000 worth of shabu.
The first operation targeted Marilyn Negra and Junior de Guzman from Barangay Salian, Abucay, where police confiscated about 51 grams of suspected shabu valued at P346,800. Shortly after, a second buy-bust operation by the Abucay drug enforcement unit resulted in the arrest of Jero Paneda from Barangay Gabon, Abucay, and Neth Alba from Duale, Limay, with around 35.3 grams of shabu worth P240,040 seized.
“These operations demonstrate our ongoing commitment to dismantling illegal drug networks in Bataan,” said Col. Marites A. Salvadora, Bataan police director. “We will continue to pursue those involved in these destructive activities.”
Central Luzon Police Director B/Gen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones commended the Abucay police for the arrests and urged them to maintain their strong campaign against drug-related crimes.
The four suspects and the confiscated drugs are now under custody at the Abucay police station, awaiting proper legal action.
