Authorities on Friday evening arrested four drug suspects and seized 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Arrested in the operation were Jojie Santos, alias Jojie, 30, a resident of Rodriguez, Rizal; Mary Grace Sta. Lucia, alias Chacha, 20, also of Rodriguez; Jounsp Delos Reyes, alias JP, 39, of Baras, Rizal; and Derry Gaan, alias Dondon, 36, of San Mateo, Rizal.
The suspects were apprehended in a buy-bust operation conducted by the drug enforcement team of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station at about 7 p.m. at Block 3, Lot 18, Doña Maxima Subdivision, Barangay Geronimo, Rodriguez.
Confiscated from the suspects were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic cellophane bags, all containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
The total weight was approximately 500 grams, with an estimated street value of P3.4 million.
Also seized were P2,000 in buy-bust money, P10 in boodle money, P3,000 in confiscated cash, a sling bag, and a digital weighing scale.
The suspects were detained at the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station custodial facility and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
