For the fourth year in a row, the City Government of Muntinlupa has received an Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for its financial statements, affirming the city’s consistent track record of transparent and accountable fiscal management.
Muntinlupa received audit opinion for Fiscal Years 2021, 2022, and 2023 and 2024.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon emphasized that this achievement is more than just a technical milestone. “Sa loob ng apat na sunod-sunod na taon, pinatunayan natin na kapag ang serbisyo ay inuuna ang tao at hindi ang pansariling interes, hindi lang possible, kundi sustainable din ang public funds”.
Since 2022, Mayor Biazon’s administration has strengthened the city government’s fiscal management, implemented transparency initiatives, and fostered a culture of performance and accountability across departments—ensuring that every peso is spent effectively and responsibly.
The City Government also recognized the critical role of its departments, particularly the Finance Offices under City Administrator Engr. Allan Cachuela, whose leadership helped uphold stringent financial standards.
Muntinlupa’s four-year streak of Unmodified Opinions reaffirms its dedication to trustworthy governance and its commitment to delivering meaningful, honest service to its constituents.
