Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced the distribution of free back-to-school packages to Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) learners, describing early education as the city’s most vital investment.

The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on local families affected by rising commodity prices.

“The best investment we can make is in our children’s education — starting as early as possible,” Biazon said, adding that the city government will continue to assist parents with education-related expenses wherever possible.

In addition to basic school supplies, the municipal package includes a water bottle, educational worksheets, and a Family Support Module designed for parents.

Biazon cited that the module features guidance to help parents identify developmental red flags early, allowing families to seek prompt intervention for their children if necessary.

“Many families are still feeling the impact of high prices for goods,” Biazon said. “So as long as the local government can do something to reduce expenses for parents, we will help.”
