The Muntinlupa City government is offering free non-scalpel vasectomy and bilateral tubal ligation on 19 January as part of its efforts to widen reproductive health services for residents.
According to Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon on Wednesday, citing the City Health Office (CHO) 40 out of the 50 available slots have been filled.
The procedures will be conducted at the Southville Health Center from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m, and are open to qualified Muntinlupeños, subject to a pre-counselling and medical assessment.
The CHO advised interested residents to visit their nearest health center or the Reproductive Health Clinic at Laguerta Health Center for assessment.
“That is why it is better to immediately go to the nearest health center or to the Reproductive Health Clinic (Laguerta Health Center) so the patient can be assessed right away and included in the slots if they are eligible for the service,” the CHO said.
Two additional schedules are also set on 5 March at the Putatan Main Health Center, and on 15 April at the Cupang Health Center.
