Three alleged drug personalities, including a high-value target, were arrested, and approximately P1.36 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Garing, Consolacion, Cebu, on 5 June.
The operation, conducted by the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7), is part of its intensified anti-drug campaign across Central Visayas.
The arrested high-value individual is a 36-year-old mechanic. Two of his alleged associates, ages 45 and 29, were identified by police as street-level drug personalities. Authorities recovered sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 200 grams.
The seized items were turned over to the Cebu Provincial Forensic Unit for examination. The suspects are currently detained at the Consolacion Municipal Police Station, pending charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
“This operation is a strong reminder that PRO7 remains relentless in its campaign against illegal drugs,” said PBGen Redrico Maranan, regional director of PRO7. “The arrest of a high-value target and the seizure of a significant amount of shabu reflect our unyielding commitment to building a safer, drug-free Central Visayas.”
