

Telangana will host the 72nd Miss World Festival from 7 to 31 May 2025, welcoming participants from 120 countries. The event will showcase the state's rich culture, growing tourism, and modern advancements to a global audience.
The announcement was made at a press conference at Telangana Tourism Headquarters, attended by key figures, including Hon'ble Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao, Miss World CEO Julia Morley, and the reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková. The ceremony began with a traditional pooja.
Hosting Miss World is a strategic milestone for Telangana, positioning it as a global tourism and cultural hub. Krishna Rao emphasized the event’s importance, stating, "This offers an unparalleled opportunity to showcase our state’s heritage, tourism, and infrastructure." Morley agreed, calling Telangana the perfect host.
The festival will highlight Telangana’s culture, tourism, infrastructure, healthcare, eco-tourism, and entertainment, promoting the state’s handlooms, monuments, medical tourism, and thriving film industry.
The government has ensured enhanced security and comfort for visitors, with a large-scale digital campaign engaging a global audience via a dedicated website and mobile app.
The 72nd Miss World Festival aims to boost long-term tourism growth and global partnerships, with the tagline “Telangana, Zarur Aana” (Telangana, A Must-Visit).
