ZAMBOANGA CITY — Various family feuds (rido) in Lanao del Sur were amicably settled through the collaborative efforts of the  local government officials, community leaders and security forces in Lanao del Sur.

Police Regional Office in the Bangsamoro Region (PRO-BAR) Director Brig Gen. Romeo J. Macapaz said yesterday that the amicable settlement of various family feuds (Rido) was held at the headquarters of the 64th Infantry (Knights) Battalion in Malabang, Lanao del Sur, on Sunday.

The event was led by 103rd Infantry “Haribon” Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Billy O. Dela Rosa and Lanao del Sur Governor Datu Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong.

Gov. Adiong said resolving rido is vital in healing old wounds, restoring relationships, and fostering lasting peace in communities, especially during this Holy Month of Ramadan.

Gov. Adiong believed that “Through open dialogue and reconciliation, families are not only ending long-standing disputes but also laying the foundation for a safer and more united Bangsamoro region.”

According to the governor of Lanao del Sur, the gathering highlights the power of collaboration between the police, military, and local leaders to ensure stability and development.

Every successful settlement brings renewed hope — moving communities one step closer to lasting peace for future generations, Gov Adiong emphasized.

Meanwhile, Police Regional Office for Zamboanga Peninsula Director Brig. Gen. Roel C. Rodolfo said yesterday the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office deployed additional police personnel to various police stations in Zamboanga del Sur.
