MAGALANG, Pampanga — The Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) and Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU) of Uzbekistan have signed agreements that aim to conduct sustainable agricultural initiatives, community development, and collaborative research to enhance modern farming techniques.

In a signing of a memorandum of understanding and a memorandum of agreement (MoA) along with PSAU’s Office of Extension and Training here on 27 February, the two universities aim to foster long-term academic and cultural collaborations, enhancing global learning opportunities and advancing the shared goals of both institutions.

The memoranda were signed by PSAU president, Dr. Anita G. David, vice president for Research, Innovation, Extension and Training, Dr. Geraldine C. Sanchez, and director of the Office of Extension and Training, Dr. Amalia C. Briones.

TSAU was represented by vice rector for International Cooperation, Transformation, and Strategic Development, Dr. Abduvasikov Abduaziz, and Leading Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation and Ratings, Ms. Koilova Ayna.

The MoA focuses on sustainable agricultural initiatives, community development and collaborative research to enhance modern farming techniques. This initiative supports SDG 2: Zero Hunger by promoting food security and empowering farming communities with innovative agricultural practices.

These agreements mark a significant milestone in PSAU and TSAU’s shared vision of advancing education, research, and community engagement on a global scale.
