  • ILOILO CITY — Former Vice President Leni Robredo, who is running for mayor of Naga City, will lead a delegation to Iloilo City today, 5 March, on a learning visit focused on best governance practices, it was confirmed by Mayor Jerry Treñas.

The delegation, composed of incumbent councilors and department heads, aims to study the city’s successful programs and initiatives to enhance Naga’s development.

“This exchange reflects our city’s progress and the power of collaboration in good governance. We are excited to share insights and strengthen partnerships for a better future,” Treñas said in a statement.

In the 2022 presidential election, Robredo garnered more votes in Iloilo City than Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who ultimately won.

Robredo’s late husband, former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, was Naga City mayor for 19 years.
