De Belen’s breakthrough came at a young age with the iconic soap opera Flordeluna (1979-1984), where she played the titular role. This catapulted her to fame, earning her the title of 80s Teen Drama Princess, alongside rival Julie Vega. 

Even after a brief hiatus to focus on her studies, De Belen returned to the screen, proving her staying power.

The 1980s saw de Belen solidify her status as a teen idol, starring in various dramas and variety shows. 

However, her transition from a young star to a serious actress in the late 80s and early 90s showcased her versatility. 

Films like Rosenda (1989), opposite then-boyfriend Gabby Concepcion, marked this shift.

Beyond acting, De Belen explored other facets of television.

She co-hosted the popular morning talk show SiS (2001-2010) alongside her sister Gelli de Belen and Carmina Villarroel, demonstrating her charisma and rapport with audiences. 

Her presence on shows like Showbiz Inside Report and Buzz ng Bayan further cemented her position as a respected figure in the industry.

One of the most anticipated moments in De Belen’s career is her upcoming project, Saving Grace, alongside Sharon Cuneta. 

This marks the first time the two actresses will work together, and anticipation is high given their shared history.

She even shared details about a challenging slapping scene, emphasizing the importance of getting it right in one take.
